Our definition of government affairs includes a multi-faceted approach to communicating with all levels of government on a variety of issues. We combine a strategic approach to relationship development, qualified research, aggressive advocacy, and political intuition — all that accrue to the benefit of our clients.

Lobbying & Government Affairs

The Greenlee Partners approach to government affairs and business strategies focuses on forthright and effective communication between clients and government officials. Our standard for client service begins with an assessment of client goals combined with a strategic, qualitative implementation plan from legislative and regulatory

concerns to business strategies. Building on the vast experience of the Greenlee Partners professionals, no two client strategies are alike. Essentially, we help our clients navigate Pennsylvania government — the process and the players.

Procurement

As government looks for creative, cost-effective ways to fund programs and services to citizens, opportunities for private sector companies increases. At Greenlee Partners, we help businesses participate in this environment and increase their bottom line. Through our experience within government, we know that agency

leaders want partnerships with solution providers, not simply best-price contracts. We assist clients through the government procurement maze by introducing them to decision makers, decoding procurement regulations and providing advice in formulating proposals to government procurement solicitations.

When faced with a real crisis, Greenlee reacted very quickly and with an unconventional, creative plan. Even though we were the least politically powerful force, we still got a resolution that was favorable. In the wake of our issue, we have continued to implement a relationship building strategy with Greenlee guiding us

Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries

Greenlee works close with ISRI, a nationwide trade association for scrap recycling companies, to monitor any issues relating to the scrap business.

In 2013, facing an onslaught of bills that would have directly negatively impacted ISRI member companies bottom line, Greenlee and ISRI collectively identified and convened a group of stakeholders to address the real and perceived issues in the scrap law at that time. This diverse group included trade groups representing farm interests, utility interests, prosecuting attorneys, elected officials, and law enforcement officers. Through working closely with this group and legislators, Greenlee was able to guide Act 79 of 2014 into law.
